Jonathan Rhys Meyers may play King Henry the VIII, but in real life, he’s been crowned the face of HUGO BOSS’s new scent for men, HUGO ELEMENT. As the face of HUGO ELEMENT, Meyers’ represents the confident, irreverent and individual HUGO man.
Guests who make a $65 purchase of HUGO ELEMENT at Macy’s Herald Square on Friday, January 30th will get to meet Jonathan Rhys Meyers and have him autograph their fragrance bottle. Meyers is the star of the popular Showtime drama, THE TUDORS where he portrays the sexy, powerful King Henry. In 2009, he will be appearing in a new film, SHELTER with Julianne Moore and just completed filming FROM PARIS WITH LOVE with John Travolta.

The German Cosmopolitan has posted an interview with Jonathan on their website and a great behind the scenes video on the new Hugo Boss ad. It has clips of the actual commercial.
And behind the cut is one of the better red carpet interviews with Jonny at the Golden Globes.
Energie’s official website has posted a new splash page with a behind the scenes video of the fashion shoot for their new ad campaign featuring Jonathan. It’s a must-see! Simply fantastic and the ad campaign is bound to be one of the best yet!

In other news, Jonathan attended a press conference on January 14th to promote the new season of “The Tudors” as part of the Television Critics Association press week. He also attended the TCA Party later that evening. Photos will be added shortly.
We got a sneak peek last month, but the news is now official… Jonathan is the new face of Italian fashion label Energie for it’s next two ad campaigns.
As if is being nominated for a Golden Globe wasn’t enough, the Tudors hearttrob is striking a pose for Energie Jeans, a division of Miss Sixty. The campaign features Jonathan Rhys Meyers in a variety of denim-based looks which perfectly capture the rock ‘n roll attitude of the Energie brand. Whether he is in his ornate King Henry the VII costumes on the set of The Tudors or rocking Energie jeans, we think Jonathan is nothing short of royally sexy — a perfect choice for Energie.
Hugo Boss is launching a new fragrance in February 2009. Jonathan will be the face of Hugo Element. It’s known yet if a commercial was filmed along with the photo ad campaign. Larger photo of the upcoming ad can be seen on Elle.fr.

In other news, the Golden Globes nominations will be announced tomorrow. Be on the lookout for nods for “The Tudors”.
Jonathan was recently spotted at Electric Picnic in Dublin over the weekend. He attended last year and was there again this year to take in the various musical acts.

The new Spring 2007 Versace ads with Jonathan are now starting to show up in magazines. Big thanks to Italian fan Regina for sending in a beautiful scan from a fashion magazine in Italy. The ad is gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing how the rest turn out!
From WWD, comes word that Jonathan will also be featured in the Spring ad campaign for Versace.
Donatella Versace certainly worked hard while she was in New York last week. After giving a keynote speech at the WWD/DNR CEO Summit and hosting a private dinner for Allure editor in chief Linda Wells, the fashion house’s creative director started shooting Versace’s spring ad campaigns on Friday. While the company did not confirm any information about the campaigns, sources said it has tapped a similar cast of characters to those featured in its fall ads. Mario Testino, who shot Versace’s fall campaign and recent ads with Halle Berry and Madonna, photographed the men’s ads in a Manhattan studio on Friday with actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers and a female model in a relatively straightforward (for Versace) style. Meyers also modeled clothes and accessories for the fall campaign. Meanwhile, the women’s ads will feature many of the same supermodels as the fall ones, which included Kate Moss, Christy Turlington, Carolyn Murphy, Angela Lindvall and Daria Werbowy. — Stephanie D. Jonathan also attended a party last Thursday at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City thrown by Donatella Versace celebrating Allure magazine editor in chief Linda Wells’ new book, “Allure: Confessions of a Beauty Editor.” Thanks to Shelia for the links.
