Jonathan is featured in the October issue of the UK edition of InStyle magazine. It’s in promotion of the new XX/XY fragrances coming out.
“August Rush” will be screening at a premiere event at the 2007 Heartland Film festival on October 18 in Indianapolis, IN. Producer Richard Barton Lewis is scheduled to attend the premiere. No other cast or crew have been announced to attend. You can buy tickets online for a 4:30pm matinee screening ($20) or the 7:30pm evening screening with a reception and Q+A afterwards ($30). They are also selling tickets for a special dinner before the evening screening ($125).
“August Rush” was also recently awarded a Heartland Truly Moving Picture Award. This is a watermark that studios can use in posters and ads to inform audiences about a film’s uplifting message and appeal.
Finally, the soundtrack for “August Rush” is due for release on November 6. You can pre-order it on Amazon now. There is no track listing or cover yet, but it’s very likely songs Jonathan sings for the movie will be featured on the soundtrack.

Jonathan has been seen out and about in Los Angeles and New York City as he attends “The Tudors” premieres and makes the press rounds. He is also setting up his new home in Los Angeles. E! Online has a great video interviewing Jonny from the Los Angeles premiere. Be sure to watch the whole thing.
I’m slowly adding images from this week’s events (as well as past ones). There are so many new goodies for us to enjoy but I have not had the time to keep up. I’m sorry about that! Newest additions to the Gallery:
Lots more coming soon!
There is an adorable interview with Jonathan in the January issue of Company magazine out on UK newstands. This is the first time he publicly comments that he is now single saying, “I don’t have the time to put into a relationship. I’m just not around. It’s difficult with this job.”
Added 2 images from the article to the Gallery thanks to Shaznic.
According to both TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly, “The Tudors” will be premiering on Showtime on Sunday, April 1. Both magazines new issues have 2007 TV previews with 2 new images from “The Tudors”.

Added 4 new images from “The Children of Huang Shi” to the Gallery (2 Behind the Scenes, 2 Stills).
There’s a behind the scenes video up from the making of “The Children of Huang Shi”. It shows some footage of Jonathan filming a scene with Michelle Yeoh. Thanks to Michelle Yeoh Web for the link.
You can now view the innovative and sexy ad for Hugo Boss starring Jonny online!
It’s fabulous!
From the press release by the production company behind the ad:
The full array of talents behind bicoastal U.S. creative production company Stardust Studios (www.stardust.tv) are on display in a new print and television campaign for Hugo Boss Green debuting worldwide. Together with the brand’s marketing executives and the creative team from Paris-based Callegari Berville Grey, Stardust’s owner and creative director/director Jake Banks helped to create the new look for — while also designing and directing — the breaking cross-media campaign’s bold print and TV ads, which star Golden Globe-winning actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers and introduce the new cologne for men.
The campaign’s ads feature Meyers and the distinctive Hugo Green bottle in a stylized blending of live-action elements with 3D designs and flowing motion graphics. “We came up with the unique visual aesthetic to unify the personalities of Jonathan and Hugo Green, with an overriding theme of irreverence,” Banks explained. “In this world we created, everything is possible, and Jonathan is taking control. It’s a simple story, told in a way that is visually stunning.”
“In the illustrations, we show the world we created for Jonathan,” Banks said, “and those turned out to be sort of a storyboard to determine the look and feel of where the TV needed to go.” Stardust’s team then artistically composited together all the live-action and animated elements to create the finished :30, :20, :15 and :10 TV ads.
I’ve added a new indepth article on “The Tudors” from the NY Times to the Press section of the site. It contains some wonderful background on the making of the series and Jonathan is featured throughout.
New images from “The Tudors” will be added soon.
Jonathan attended Electric Picnic this past weekend, a music festival held in Dublin. The line-up included Belle and Sebastian, New Order, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, among many other bands and performers. And last night, Jonathan attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards, held at the Royal Opera House in London. Jonny was presented with the Lab Series Man of the Year award. The UK edition of GQ Magazine normally does a special issue on their Men of the Year so we’ll have to see how they’ll feature Jonny in the special issue. (Thanks to Shelia for the news.)
A couple more media sightings: There is a one page interview with photo in the new issue of the British edition of Elle Magazine. Drew Barrymore is on the cover for the special 21st birthday issue of Elle. And there’s a photo of Jonathan at Electric Picnic in the Irish Daily Mail newspaper from September 4, 2006.
