Jonathan has been nominated for Best Sort in the 2007 Movie Extra Filmink Awards in Australia. You can vote online. I have no idea what Best Sort means but judging from his fellow nominees it might have to do with being hot in “Match Point”. Appearances and awards

Jonathan attended Electric Picnic this past weekend, a music festival held in Dublin. The line-up included Belle and Sebastian, New Order, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, among many other bands and performers. And last night, Jonathan attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards, held at the Royal Opera House in London. Jonny was presented with the Lab Series Man of the Year award. Jonathan honored in Cork

Last week, Jonathan was honored in Cork, Ireland for his Golden Globe win. Cork held a civic reception in his honor and to award him with the Cork Person of the Month award. Jonathan also joined Cillian Murphy to launch the 4th Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.

Esquire, TV, awards

Jonathan is featured in a huge photo spread in the new issue of Esquire magazine (the January 2006 US issue). And he made another appearance with his “Match Point” co-star Scarlett Johansson in an interview on the Today Show’s Saturday edition this past weekend. And lastly, Jonathan has won Best Actor in a Miniseries or a Motion Picture Made for Television at the 10th annual Satellite Awards. His co-star Randy Quaid won Best Supporting Actor and “Elvis” won Best Miniseries. Congratulations Jonathan!

Emmy Awards

Jonathan attended yesterday’s Emmy Awards and looked splendid on the red carpet. “Elvis” did not manage to win any awards. Jonathan also attended 2 pre-Emmy parties: Entertainment Weekly’s pre-Emmy party and the 3rd annual BAFTA tea party, both held on September 17.

Back from vacation and to report the great news that Jonathan has been nominated for an Emmy! Elvis received a total of 6 nominations for Casting, Costumes, Supporting Actor (Randy Quaid), Supporting Actress (Camryn Manheim), Outstanding Miniseries, and Lead Actor In A Miniseries Or A Movie for Jonathan’s portrayal of Elvis Presley. Match Point at Cannes

Jonathan attended this year’s Cannes Film Festival to promote Woody Allen’s new film, “Match Point”. It premiered on May 12 to glowing reviews. Jonathan received the Chopard Trophy for his work in the film as outstanding newcomer. He also attended the premiere of the final Star Wars film at Cannes with girlfriend Reena Hammer. The CBS 4 hour miniseries “Elvis” debuted to excellent ratings and reviews poured in praising Jonathan’s portrayal of Elvis Presley. There is much Emmy buzz now!
