Exciting news to report about an interesting new project for Jonathan. From Zap2It: Showtime has snagged “Elvis” and “Match Point” star Jonathan Rhys-Meyers to take the lead role in “The Tudors,” a new series doubling as drama and English history lesson. Congratulations Jonathan for winning Best Actor in a Mini-Series or TV Movie for “Elvis” at last night’s Golden Globe Awards! “Elvis” did not win any other awards. Jonathan’s appearance on the View has been rescheduled to Thursday, January 19. His appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live airs tonight on ABC at 12:05 am.

Not on the View

Jonathan did not appear on the View this morning. He was substituted with someone else. He is still set to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live tomorrow night. The show is taping this evening in Los Angeles. Jonathan is also set to attend this Sunday’s Tea Party put on by BAFTA in Los Angeles. As well, he is expected to attend the Golden Globe Awards also held in Los Angeles, which is airing live on NBC on January 16, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
