The Tudors Premiere

I got to meet JRM (dream come true, tee hee) and he was just incredibly nice. He signed some posters for the American Cinematheque, a non-profit organization who sells them as a form of fundraising. He signed three “Vanity Fair” posters that Reese Witherspoon had already signed at a previous event.

When he saw her signature, he said, “Oh I saw Reese last night.” And I told him that I had seen Matthew Goode the previous week at the “Lookout” premiere (but I wasn’t able to get his signature on our “Match Point” poster).

He also signed a “Velvet Goldmine” poster, the colorful one with his face on it. Yay. So much fun.

He attended the premiere with his girlfriend, who looked gorgeous. He wore a tuxedo-ish suit, with a white open-collar ruffle shirt. Just stunning.

My security guard friend escorted him to the after-party, and they talked on the way. He is just ridiculously nice. The after-party was great, the food exquisite, but I didn’t see JRM. There were hundreds of people, so it’s easy to get lost in the crowd.

What else… He told me to call him John. I did not know that was the name he went by, as opposed to Jonathan. That’s it.
