More news on Jonathan’s next project Panda Eyes
More details are emerging on Jonathan’s next project “Panda Eyes”. Author Cathy MacPhail has confirmed on Twitter that Jonathan is part of the cast and will be playing a school teacher. Rhys Ifans and Ivana Baquero have also joined the cast. From Televisual comes the following shooting location news:
Welsh/Spanish feature co-production Panda Eyes, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors, Velvet Goldmine) and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark, Game of Thrones) begins shooting in Cardiff this month.
The new feature, from Rainy Day Films and Tornasol Films, has been adapted from the novel Another Me by Cathy MacPhail, a supernatural thriller which centres on a schoolgirl who begins to suspect she may have a double.
Isabel Coixet (My Life Without Me, The Secret Life of Words, Elegy, Map of the Sounds of Tokyo) has written the screenplay and will direct. She has said that the feature is highly influenced by the Japanese terror film The Ring.
The action is set in Wales and Alicante and the shoot in Spain is scheduled to begin mid January.
Producers are Mariela Besuievski, Nicole Carmen-Davis and Rebekah Gilbertson for Rainy Day Films.
