Unfortunate news to report on Glenio Bonder, the director of “Belle du Seigneur”. From Delux Productions:
Death of the director Glenio Bonder
After a long and painful illness Glenio Bonder died today November 10th 2011, at the age of 55 years. Delux Productions and the entire team who worked with Glenio are appalled by this sad event.
Glenio Bonder was a graduate of the National Diplomatic School Itamary (Brazil) and had doctorate from Tokyo University ICU (Japan) and from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro(Brazil).
First a diplomat, he has been the Brazilian representative at the United Nations.
Glenio Bonder has had a career as a still photographer in fashion and advertising and has directed more than a hundred commercials. He directed a documentary on Albert Cohen for French television, which had allowed him to adapt his masterpiece “Belle du Seigneur”.
We will hold in memory this so talented and deeply human friend.

I’m very sad to hear the news.
I saw him in Italy, last year, when he was filming Belle du Seigneur, and he seemed such a sweet and lovely man.
Sad to think also how hard he worked to realize this film. I hope he succeeded in seeing it finished.
