UPDATE: According to the Hollywood Reporter, a source close to Jonathan says this was NOT a suicide attempt. Jonathan’s representatives have declined comment at this time. About you, there are many rumors, comments, or praise, or judgements. I just want to say: no one should easily evaluate someone else, because you have never experienced his life. For the artificial heart and soul of what is worth paying, when being abandoned life, disappointment, anger, mischief, but never give up, be strong, almost capricious. There’s no right or wrong, you just do it yourself. However, to treat yourself better, love yourself a little more. Some people really care about you in this world. Real friends care about you to fly much higher, but more concerned about you when too tired to fly. Though I don’t usually visit fansites, I wanted to share in any support you may need at this time. I suffered a great depression seven years ago from which I feared I would never recover. A friend advised me that there would come a day when I could sit in a chair, read a book, and be content with being alone, not lonely. He also stressed that it would take a great deal of work, however, if I chose my true friends and support system wisely, then I would find peace and hope. I followed his advice, and am able, now, to share with you the grace that came from that difficult time in my life. I wish you peace, hope, and the kind of love that comes from one who may not know you, but understands what it feels like to hit the bottom of the pit. You can, and I believe you will, find your way out. One only needs to look at your work as an artist to see the strength within you. Grace, Jonathan, comes from within and you have it. Never let anyone tell you otherwise.
Dear Jonathan, the talents you’re blessed with are amazing. The many faces you’ve shown the audience are fantastically portrayed. I can understand that at the end of the day you feel alone and depressed, stripped of all the splendour of your work hours. Jonathan, I was diagnosed with a rare cancer last year. I have known such depths of despair but you were my light in a very dark place. I watched you in The Tudors and for that hour I could forget. You were wonderful. You move me and you helped me through – you even inspired me to write a novel – another form of escape and so therapeutic. I wish I could help you as you helped me. I can only pray for you and I do. A candle glows for you in my church. I wish you strength and joy, peace, health and happiness always. I am well now Jonathan, thank God. My operation was a success and my last scan clear. May you never know such depths of anguish and pain, but only love. You are so, so loved. Be well and happy.
A few things I have learnt along the way.
1) Only you can make you happy. We can’t control other people’s words and actions, but we can control the way we react to those words and actions.
2) Everyone is brilliant in their own special way, embrace your individuality – your brain is unique and what makes you, you. You wouldn’t be your brilliant self if your brain was wired up even one connection differently.
3) Just breathe.
4) When you don’t think you are good enough at something, anything and everything, it’s only because your standards are 50% higher than the rest of the mortals on the planet. Your average is their brilliant.

What’s past is past. Experience makes us strong. And you need to see this episode for what it really is. An extraordinary experience. Every experience is of value. We all going to end someday, no need to rush it by any reason! Nature has a great deal to answer for. Please feel the brilliance of every moment, the splendour of existence and it’s awful. That’s what make our life significant!
Finding a perspective. Most lack the strength to rise above life’s suffering. To rule your emotions, to savour them…that takes a man of will.
You know you can overcome this, only matter is whether you want or not.

Your work in The Tudors is so wonderful I then began renting all your movies. If I am down I just put on usually The Tudors or Velvet Goldmine. I love your musical roles, you sing fantastic. Your work has never failed to lift my spirits, I just hope your spirits will lift soon as well. I really feel afraid for you, but nobody can help you if you do find that place of real self love and awareness. Then you really want to feel healthy and happy. It’s something you do for yourself, then things fall into place.

Searching the internet where to get an autograph of Jonathan Rhys Meyers for a good friend of mine I ended up here. Reading the latest news made me think of some very interesting experiences I made working with Native American Artists and Actors a few years ago. Most of the times we all want to be famous or at least more noticed. I experienced first hand what it means to be famous and to be honest, since then I love my simple life! Rumors can destroy ones life – bad enough … and if these stories about Jonathan are for a fact, I feel sorry for him that they got published. I only can imagine how he feels – but I guess I have a close idea. I have never been in a situation like this by myself, but a lot of my clients. Actually this was one of the reasons why I finally gave up my business. The stories of my clients often made me cry and I was unable to help them. I’m still in contact with some actors and their families and all I can do is to offer my friendship – more than once I was writing emails all night long instead of talking in person. If this message really gets forwarded to Jonathan I want to tell him:
