Hehehe, oh boy. That jounalist asked for it, really. If she really listened to Jonny answers to the questions. She should have tailored her questions better to make him more comfortable. She must of thought he was not clever, heehee.

i like his interviews and i think he's clever, but:

1- why the hell is he saying 'fuck' a lot? not polite.

2- sometimes he overacts the 'bad boy' situation, but i don't think it is because he wants to show off, seems like he's just trying to seem more honest and not so plastic.

does he mean amr diab the egyptian singer, i have never heard of arne diab, elle mag. should have checked on that or maybe its a misprint. if he does listen to arabic music, im very impressed what an open minded guy. he must have hated the lady that interviewed him though probably reminded him of one of his old school teachers. he was so mean to her, i really enjoyed it, what a "bad" boy.

As a fan, I find his interviews interesting and the fact that he's willing to not sound like "Mr Good Guy" all the time is endearing. I became more of a fan as I read his interviews. He can be arrogrant and does occassionally comes off badly in print, I think mainly, due to a mixture of honesty, neuroses and saying whatever pops into his head. Hence the reason why he seems to contradict himself a lot in his interviews. I think a lot has to do with boredom too, he probably says some things to just get a rise out of people. Which is funny, but yeah, it isn't the greatest way to win over mainstream America. Unfortunately, I think he has a certain image due to his print interviews and this image can impede him from really crossing over big time.

So far it's been fun and games, but considering how we are much more PC here in the US, I wouldn't be surprised if something blurted out in an interview will get him into hot water one day. I mean something much more than pissing off Elvis fans with the gay innuendo.

Based on this article, I find his philosophies perceptive; however, his honesty is mildy arrogant and his vulnerability is made obvious by his slight defensiveness. Part of me says, "Good for you, Jonny boy! Tell the world what you really think." Then, I retract, "Jonathan, get over yourelf. Stop trying to create a persona; just be yourself."
